Reinhold Heimann, Technical Manager Willms Fleisch GmbH
Mr. Heimann, what tasks does your daily work as technical manager at Willms Fleisch consist of?
Ensuring machine availability is a major part of my work. In order to ensure this, regular maintenance and repair work must be organised. In addition there is the procurement of spare parts, machines and energies (electricity, gas and water), building and energy management as well as the personnel management of my employees.
How important is energy in your daily work?
Since energy is a high cost factor in the meat products industry, we attach great importance to this topic. We speak of an annual consumption of more than 20,000,000 kWh of electricity and more than 60,000,000 kWh of gas.
How did you implement energy management measures before the introduction of the ENIT Agent at Willms Fleisch?
Before the introduction, we used the „sneaker“ principle, which means that we have expired all meters and recorded the meter readings manually every month. If analyses or troubleshooting were necessary, this was also done daily.
What was particularly important to you when choosing an energy management system? Why did you choose ENIT Agent?
It was particularly important that a modular structure of the measurement system was possible. This modularity is given by the ENIT Agent. This means that the first usable data can already be collected at the transfer meter with the ENIT Agent. Due to the many interfaces, all other necessary meters can be successively integrated into the system.
Where does the ENIT Agent bring you the greatest benefit?
I see the greatest benefit in the real-time data of our consumers. This simplifies troubleshooting and enables active load management.
If you had to describe the ENIT Agent in one sentence, what would it be?
A simple, cost-effective data collection system that can always be developed further.
Where would you like to go with regard to energy in your company in the next few years? Do you have concrete energy goals that you and your team are pursuing?
In general, our focus is on the economic use of energy resources. In addition, ISO 50.001 / 50.003 requires proof of continuous improvement of energy consumption.
